Peppercorns’ longest running choir meets every Tuesday from 7:30pm to 8:30pm at the Academy. It is open to anyone with an interest in singing, although predominantly our members are young people. We sing a wide range of music in three parts and perform regularly at music school concerts.
Peppercorns Junior Choir
Peppercorns Junior Choir meets on Sunday 1:30pm – 2:30pm at Peppercorns Academy. The aim will be to create a choir to perform at various functions and possibly record and perform songs for our YouTube channel and produce an “album” in our new recording studio. Singing in a choir is an excellent way to improve a young person’s overall well-being; increasing confidence, improving breathing, learning about pitch and dynamics, teamwork, improving aural skills and lots and lots of fun!
The Capsicum Singers
The Capsicum Singers are Peppercorns Music Academy’s adult choir. They meet every Tuesday at the Academy from 1.45pm to 3.15pm. Over the last few years it has helped to raise money for The Cats Protection League, Freedom from torture as well as singing for people in sheltered accommodation. The singers perform a variety of music including unaccompanied sacred music, folksongs, songs from the shows, gospel music and classic pop songs. Just about anything. You don’t need to read music to join us, just a good sense of humour!
